Forgiveness is something you do for yourself and not the person who has caused you harm. The quicker this can be done, the sooner you can begin the healing process. When holding on to those feelings of anger and resentment, the other person is going on about their life and not giving it another thought. This is when you have to "Let Go and Let God"

It's a natural quality state of mind.
