Somehow, I managed to arrange for the EMI payment in June, but in July, the loan agents hacked my phone, extracted its details, and started blackmailing my relatives, friends, and colleagues. A man identified as Bhupendra Vishwakarma, 38, and his wife Ritu, 34, allegedly took the lives of their two children before ending their own lives in India.

It was gathered that the heart-wrenching incident happened on Thursday in the Neelbad area of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India.

According to reports, Bhupendra Vishwakarma who was burdened by debts, had sent a WhatsApp message to his relatives at around 4 am informing them about his intentions.

Unaware of the message until later, his relatives discovered it around 6 am and promptly notified the police at 6:30 am.

When authorities arrived at the scene, they found the lifeless bodies of Bhupendra and Ritu hanging in a room. Their two children, aged 8 and 3, were discovered in another part of the house.

The Assistant Commissioner of Police, SP Chandrashekhar Pandey from TT Nagar, said the couple had taken the extreme step of hanging themselves after allegedly poisoning their children due to their mounting debts.

Pandey daid that during the investigation, a suicide note and a packet of sulphate pills were recovered from the premises.

He said the deceased couple, who worked for a private insurance company, had taken a loan, which they had been unable to pay.

The note detailed the couple’s struggles, shedding light on their circumstances. It expressed deep remorse and conveyed their desire to apologize to their family members for the suffering they caused.

The police ACP said the bodies of Bhupendra, Ritu, and their children were sent for postmortem, as investigations into this tragic incident continue.
