The Nigerian government has recently approved significant expenditures for some major projects.

Court of Appeal (Abuja Division) Building:

Amount Approved: N37.2 billion
Purpose: This fund is allocated for the construction and development of the Court of Appeal building in the capital city, Abuja. This move likely aims to enhance judicial infrastructure and support the effective administration of justice in Nigeria.

Vehicles for the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS):

Amount Approved: N12.5 billion
Purpose: This budget is designated for the purchase of 200 Toyota Land Cruiser Buffalo V6 vehicles for the Nigeria Customs Service. These vehicles are intended to bolster the operational capacity of the NCS, presumably for tasks such as border security, anti-smuggling operations, and enforcement of customs regulations.
Additional Insurance Cost: N522 million has also been approved for the insurance cover of these vehicles, ensuring they are protected against potential risks.
These approvals reflect the government's efforts to invest in critical sectors such as the judiciary and customs enforcement, aiming to improve infrastructure and operational efficiency.

They also approved the award of a contract for the building of bus terminals and other transport facilities in the Federal Capital, Abuja (Kugbo, Abuja Central Business District and Mabushi.)

The whole project will cost N51 billion and will be executed by Planet Projects Nigeria Limited, which did similar contracts in Lagos and Oyo states.
