FOR his inability to control his urge, a traditional ruler in Benue State, Zaki Toryila Nyitse, has bagged a three-month imprisonment from an upper Area High Court sitting in Buruku, headquarters of Buruku Local Government Area of the state.
The convict is a district head of Mbalaagh, in Buruku Local Government Area, who was said to have taken another man’s wife.
The court asked him to pay a sum of N20,000, failure of which he would also be jailed for 12 months.
Delivering judgment in the case filed by one Tortiv Torkula against the accused, the presiding acting sole judge, Mrs Kpadoo Chia, averred that there was enough evidence to prove that Zaki Nyitse knew that the woman he married was already married, while the union had produced four children.
The judge averred that with the evidence, the claim by the accused that he was the first husband of the lady was not true.
Chia maintained that the punishment was to serve as deterrent to other traditional rulers, custodians and stakeholders of the Tiv culture.

The traditional ruler has betrayed the culture he's supposed to protect, this is always the case in Nigeria where men of authority bend and flaunt the law to their advantage to the detriment of those they're supposed protect and serve !!!.

Any time i hear about wife or Babe snatching or Husband or boy friend snatching, the only picture that comes to my mind is that of a thief snatching a bag from someone.
