The president of the United States of America, Mr. Barrack Obama has invited four African leaders to the G8 summit to discuse among other things hunger catastrophe that has overtaken many African countries including Nigeria.

"A combination of drought, poverty, high grain prices, environmental degradation and chronic under-development is affecting Burkina Faso, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Senegal, Chad, northern Cameroon and Nigeria," the United Nations said this year. "More than 10 million people are struggling to get enough to eat, including 5.4 million in Niger." says UN aid chief, Valerie Amos

It is clear that Nigeria which is not just directly affected by this and other issues but is supposed to be leading this forum has lost contact with the world politics and thus the Benin Republic and Ghana as the new Nigeria "gods". Nigerians on the other hand now wonder like sheep among wolves in the international community. The hatred for Nigerians even within Africans intensifies correspondingly as all grounds for defence seem to have been lost.

What a shame!
How long will we suffer this humiliation just because of fear and ethnic sentiments?
When are we going to arise and take our possession by force?
When are we going to recognize the fact that the federal state of Nigeria will never ever be or function again and work towards the way forward?
When will Nigerians stand and say "enough is enough" like others do?
Is it not yet time?

you know, it`s really funny how relaxed southerners are. No one seems concerned. No one would want to do anything. I doubt if they are only afraid of being killed. I have the impression they don`t even know what to do. The government have sippressed them to a point that no one seems to be thinking properly any longer
