Personal feelings aside, divorce has become the norm for couples these days. According to a recent report, nearly 50% of all couples who marry for the first time, will end up in divorce and for many social media evidence will be presented to support their claims regarding custody and spousal support. While most people regard this format as an outlet for alleged injustices or for sharing interesting moments of their lives, careful consideration should be given to the nature of the content you put out there for all to see and possibly use in court.
Divorces are emotional rollercoasters at best and egos can get in the way of clear thinking, so try and keep a couple of things in mind. You should never post in anger, give yourself time to compose your thoughts and respond in the manner which best serves your interests. Finally, do not share your network with former spouses, especially if there are children involved, you never know what they will decide is inappropriate for your children to be exposed to.
