The UN scribe’s condemnation is conveyed via a statement issued by his spokesperson, Martin Nesirky, in New York.
In the statement, Ban commiserated with the families of those who were killed in the attacks and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
``The Secretary-General condemns the continued targeting of innocent civilians at places of worship in Nigeria, as illustrated by Sunday's attacks on two churches in Jos and Biu, which killed six persons and wounded many others,’’ the News Agency of Nigeria quoted the body as saying in the statement.
