Nigeia is currently and has been for many years a country at a cross road. Every attempt at finding the way seemed to have failed. Pundits have diagnosed yet no panacea to cure her wounds. Things are and have been gloomy for very many years. Some of us have even given up the thought that Nigeria will ever emerge from te woods. We have thrown up our hands in acquiescence to fate. Many are confused and appaled at our current state. We are exasperated at the failures and non - chalance of leadership. Reports from powerful nations and agencies around the world cast aspersions on us and classify us with eclectic nomenclatures,such as: a failed state, most currupt, hunger stricken, rudderless and directionless, etc. Any hpe of seeing Nigeria rise again? still wondering.

I realise that to dream and to hope is not enough to realising the kind of Nigeria we hope for. Dreams alone can not bring our desire of a new Nigeria to reality. Nigeria will not become utopian overnight simply because we dreamt. But the first step to coming out of the doldrums is to have hope, for with hope comes the guarantee that tomorrow will be better. Our dreams can fire in us the strength to face the obstacle of life and overcome whatever may come at us. Our hope can give us the strength to live again, the confidence not to be indiffrent to our flight and the assurance that our tomorrow is far greater than our past or our present. We must therefore remove the imaginary barricades that exist in our minds, those ethnic, religious and regional lines that seperate us from consolidating our potentials in order to accomplish greatness for this nation. Regardless of our political or cultural divide, we must align our might and minds to bring dignity, pride and honour to our nation; to this posterity will honour us and our contemporaries will remember us.

Being the Realist that I am, I would have been inclined to say we cant. If one is to consider present existential realities and take into cognizance the truism that your future is a amalgam of your present choices and decisions, one will say no we cant. If one is to look at the faces of the Nigerian people , on the streets enveloped in the tight grasp of abject penury and a dire lack of any clue as to what tomorrow holds, one will say no we cant.
However, I have faith. I have faith that someday in the not too distant future, Nigeria will rise again. Like the Bible said "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." I am not looking at the realities of the moment. Now, does that mean I am no more a Political realist? No. I ignore the represent because there is a future that is bigger than me and all of the kakistocrats and Kleptocrats that have dragged us into this quagmire. There is a nature instinct for survival in all men, groups and people that naturally make them do right when their continuous existence is threatened. It was same that made men in the Hobbesean State of nature to come into the Social Contract. I see a day like that in Nigeria. I can't say when exactly, because I do not know. but that day will come. I might not be alive to see it, but it will come, and if any of you happen to be here, on earth then, remember me. NIGERIA WILL RISE AGAIN.

My broda I share your views, but i always insist that me you and everybody out there can really make the diffrence if we can start somewhere. The only area we need to start research is where to start from. Yes! hope is what is keeping us alive. But only hope can not take us to the promise land. Somehow somewhere i believed something has to start and how or where are the two basic answeres we need to get started or atleast lay a foundation for our children to start from. Untill we do this, our children will never forgive us. They too will curse us just like we ceaselessly curse our present leaders who are our parents.

Is better to read the content with patience otherwise only the topic can make think whether u r wishing Nigeria downfall. but basically, we shld try as much as possible not to badmouth the country call Nigeria, we shld be a good image maker so that the spirit of rebranding nigeria to the world will work. if we cannot package ourselves, we cannot rebrand nigeria to the world tanx n God bless

Its obvious the poster has read widely and rehearsed his line before posting otherwise he wouldn't have ready comments to counter his readers. He's probably aspiring to be a motivational speaker and i think with the way he writes, this would have been better on the blog section and not forum because its certain he hasn't finished the write up yet.

Great Nation. . . Great Economy. . . Great People. Nevertheless the previous & current unstablised governance in Our Country Nigeria! I believe someday, something great/Miracleous is gonna happen. I mean, things taking a new shape from the upper chambers where the effect is gonna circulate/spin to all the sectors/quarters/branches of the Government. . . & then shall We know revival & restoration.
