In the last days, many strange things will be happening; indeed we've started seeing many sad happenings. An Ilorin Magistrate’s Court, Kwara State, on Monday sentenced a pentecostal church pastor, identified as Pastor Oloruntoba Ibitoye, to nine months imprisonment for stealing a sheep.

According to the prosecution, the complainant, one Mrs. Florence Adebiyi, reported at the police station in Ganmo that the convicted Pastor stole her sheep in front of her residence at Amoyo area of Ilorin.

After police prosecution confirmed that the stolen sheep was recovered from the Pastor Ibitoye, the convict,  gathered that, pleaded guilty to the offence and begged for leniency.

Consequently, the police prosecutor, Insp. Mojisola Olamokun, applied for summary trial, which was granted by the court. The Magistrate, Mrs. Mariam Qudus-Salahu, thus sentenced Pastor Ibitoye to nine months imprisonment without an option of fine.

He's now serving his jail term in prison.
