Famous entertainers, Ronke Ojo-Anthony, popularly known as Oshodi Oke, Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Odetola, also known as Pasuma and Alhaji Saidi Akorede, better addressed as Osupa, have all shunned the death prophesy by a certain clergyman to them. They reacted to the death prophesy by declaring that sudden death is not their portion. They also denied alleged frantic effort for spiritual means of washing off the distasteful prediction.

Culled from one of the nations’ magazines, last Friday, September 7, 2012, Oshodi Oke, who is currently in the United Kingdom expressed bitterness about the clergy’s unguided prediction. She, however, enjoined the public to disregard such, while they should also remain prayerful for her.

Quote
“My Brother, I am now in the UK, enjoying myself. That’s the man’s cup of tea. They have called me about it but I am not bothered by anything like that again because God is always on my side. If I am running from one spiritual home to the other as alleged, would I have the opportunity of being in the UK now?

“Sudden death! God forbid. That’s not my portion in Jesus name. We will talk better when I am back from my trip. Thank you, sir.”

We also reached out to Osupa, via his manager, Alhaji Sulaimon Balogun, a.k.a Baloo. He swiftly rubbished the authenticity, adding that it’s out of place, “That’s rubbish. Anyway, that’s not the first time of hearing that, we are used to it. we are not scared of any message from any pastor.

Quote
“What I know is that sudden death is not in God’s agenda for Saidi Osupa. There is no shaking, God is always there for us. We can’t be running helter skelter because of that.”

Corroborating what Oshodi Oke and Osupa said, Pasuma’s spokesman, Afolabi Oyekoya faulted the authencity of the seer’s claim, querying if he himself knows the day he would die. “Pasuma can’t be bothered by such again. he is a prayerful person and God is always on his side.He is a prayerful person and God is always on his side. He fasts and prays regularly. He just returned from Umurah (lesser Hajj).

Quote
“He can’t be running from pillar to post because of such useless and empty prediction. Currently, he is in UK, from where he would be moving to the US. He is billed to return in October. He has not achieved percent of the purpose for which God send him to this world.

“So, there is nothing like sudden death in his file. Even the predictor himself doesn’t know the day he will die.”

Meanwhile, we gathered through the publication that controversial message was sent to popular TV presenter, Adeyinka Adewoye, famously known as Kabiyesi of Owurolawa fame to relay it publicly. But when we got across to the ace broadcaster, he said “It’s true I received a text message from somebody I don’t know. He only described himself as Pastor Eni ti Olorun mo. The bottom line of the message is that I should tell Ronke Oshodi Oke, Pasuma and Saidi Osupa to pray against sudden death this year. I couldn’t relay that kind of message on air, I only discussed it with some people.

“That’s how the story emanated. It’s not as if he came as a guest on our programme. I don’t even know him and when I called back, he said he is Eni ti Olorun mo”.

However, our request for the mobile phone number of the controversial soothsayer from Kabiyesi was later granted. When we called the number on Saturday, September 7, 2012, it was picked by a woman who identified herself as a church member but declined to disclose the name of the church and the name of the shepherd in charge.

“It’s true that the prediction emanated from us. I had a dream and I told my pastor about it. He also told me that God revealed a similar thing to him. Then, we decided to pass the message through Owurolawa so that they would be aware of it on time.

“We don’t wish them dead, we only want them to pray against it. Nobody will die any sudden death in Jesus name,” she prayed.

Probed on the full identify of the church and that of the pastor, she said, “That’s not permitted. My pastor doesn’t like anything like that. What’s important is that any time there is message like that, we inform those concerned so that they could pray against it. We don’t wish anybody dead.” – she concluded.
