Bakare at his church in Lagos yesterday that Obasanjo deliberately imposed the late President Umaru Yar’Adua and later President Goodluck Jonathan “because his third term ambition was thwarted knowing full well that Yar ‘Adua was sick and the latter very weak”.
“Obasanjo derailed Nigeria at a critical time of the country; he planted Yar ‘Adua and later imposed Jonathan on the country; he squandered the resources of the country and promote corruption which turned Nigeria to a more of a makeshift nation without vision and goal”, he said.
Pastor Bakare said he would continue to speak out for millions of helpless Nigerians who have become impoverished due to bad and weak leadership. In this regard, he disclosed that the Save Nigeria Group will continue to chart a new course that would bring good leadership for the country as people required irrespective of religion and tribe.
The Save Nigeria Group, according to him, will gather again in Lagos today to cast a retrospective glance on the road the nation has trodden in the last one year when the Occupied Nigeria protest took place at Ojota to chart a new course of action.
