Limpopo police nab six Nigerians alleged drug dealers

Limpopo police have arrested six Nigerians for alleged drug dealing. Police spokesperson Hangwani Mulaudzi says the suspects were arrested in the Tzaneen and Burgersfort areas during a police operation spearheaded by the Crime Intelligence and Organised Crime unit.

The suspects, who are asylum seekers in the country, were found in possession of cocaine worth R60 000. Mulaudzi says the suspects are expected to appear in court on Monday.

"The group of six who we have arrested, we have been following them for some time as such, on Friday, we had tracked down the operation led by the crime intelligence people where we managed to arrest them."

On Thursday, police in KwaZulu-Natal arrested a 30-year-old Nigerian national for possession and dealing in drugs in the Durban CBD.

It is alleged that the suspect was found in possession of cocaine, crack cocaine, ecstasy tablets and pure heroin powder with a street value of more than R80 000.
