No. The French government did not give them weapons to release the French family. Why would the French govt. give weapons to ppl who have their ppl as hostages. Like giving weapons to a kidnapper with a hostage. Those weapons arnt from Nigeria. Other Islamic African countries or country is/are helping them. Esp. Mali. They've helped boko haram many many times. Those weapons are being imported. Naija govt is just too weak to track down where theyre coming from and to keep record of what comes in & out of the country. They can catch those who are importing or exporting drugs like any other country but cant catch those that are importing or exporting weapons. The reason Boko haram still exists is cuz the Naija govt. are on their side.
