UNCERTAINTY revolves round the National U-17 National team, the Golden Eaglets team as the count down to the World Cadet Championship which the country is hosting draws nearer.
SundayTribunesports investigations revealed that only a handful of players that are presently on playing tour of Ghana, failed the MIR test, meant to determine the actual age of the players.
Findings by SundayTribunesports revealed that over sixteen players among those on the tour have failed the test leaving the technical crew with only six players without blemish.
It was further gathered that the affected players in the team which arrived the country yesterday and are presently camped in Ibadan, would be decamped in accordance with the directive of the NFF President Alhaji Sani Lulu Abdullahi.
Although the NFF boss is insisting that he would love the country to defend the championship won two years ago in Korea, but he would not want the country to be embarrassed.
“We are committed to getting it right this time around. We would give the country the best, and that best would be appreciated by the whole world” the Kogi State born soccer administrator had earlier emphasized.
To this end, SundayTribunesports further gathered that the technical crew of the team has already mapped out a plan ‘B’ programme on the ground.
The crew are said to have been grooming another set of players along side the team A which may likely be a new team to present for the World championship that the country would host in October this year.

sincererity is FAR from NIGERIA, only GOD can change us all. We also swim in fraud, drink lies and eat misrepresentation. This is what you get where NIGERIA remains the highest generating plant importing nation in the world, and the public power supply is in commatoes. All publiv servants are on strike for one reason or the other and GREED is the SURNAME of most NIGERIANS.

I ain't surprised about the age thingy but it's partly not our fault. We don't have (enough) football academies that can cater to our footballers right from their tender age,Parents tend to frown at their kids playing at tender age,we've heard of boots being burnt just to discourage their kids from playing! Hence the crop of players readily available for under -17's are overaged!

l fink is high time Nigeria will start to come clean, the got result from their teeth and as well some embassy do go through that process way to find out those that are lying with their age, well l know is embarassing but is not the first time they country has been embarassed, why did they start it at first putting over age people to play with young bones, well thats unfair, l know is guna be tough for the country to get full reasonable sqaud bcos the tournament is around the coner. which them goodluck, they have to start building up sqaud, mapping out tournments from under 15 youths, with tht the will perform if they will maintain with players that gat the skills than to screen them out and rubbish amarture plays bcos of their godfather. Nigeria have to wake up if we want to maintain that batton from the oldskool. Goodluck Nigeria. When l see things happening here compare with Nigeria is a big blow and some of them due travel round the country and never get that msg to help he country.
