(METRO) Luis Suarez has been tricked into pledging his future to Liverpool for the next five years – after some clever work by a supporter. The Reds striker, who is enjoying another remarkable season, is believed to be in contract talks with Liverpool officials over a new deal.

But one fan has already managed to get him signed up for the future, after a clever bit of trickery at an award ceremony.

Cheeky! The Liverpool fan showed off his handy work on Twitter (Picture: Twitter)

The incident happened as Suarez’s was collecting an award from supporters at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium this week.

While there, one fan managed to get an autograph on a piece of paper – with the important bit hidden from view.

The hidden part read: ‘I hereby commit my future for the next 5 years to Liverpool Football Club.’

Suarez apparently signed the paper without knowing.

We’re not sure how legally binding it is, but having scored 13 times already this term, you can’t blame Liverpool fans for doing all they can to keep him.
