Super Eagles and Villarreal striker Ikechukwu Uche is back from injury and has resumed training for the La Liga side.

The 30-year-old striker was forced out of their Spanish League game against Osasuna two weeks ago due to a knock in the encounter his team triumphed 3-1.

In the absence of the Nigerian, Marcelino Toral’s men suffered a 4-2 defeat at Real Madrid plus an awkward 2-0 home loss to Celta Vigo.

With this development, Uche will feature in his side’s game against Espanyol in a La Liga fixture on Monday evening.

Villarreal are fifth on the Spanish league log with 40 points from 24 games.
