James Entwistle, America’s Ambassador to Nigeria yesterday paid a courtesy visit to the new Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II’s palace.
Few minutes later, the two went into a closed-door meeting.

Mallam Sanusi, the immediate past Governor of Nigeria’s Central Bank, was announced as the Emir of Kano by the state governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, on June 8 few weeks after his removal from office.
