The other night My girl friend and I were sound to sleep when we heard a knock on the front door. I looked at my digital clock, noticed it was three in the morning. I asked myself "who would be knocking at the door at three in the Morning?" Oh well if I ignor the knock, maybe they will go away. Sure enough there was another knock and it was even louder. "Steve," my girlfriend said roling over throwing the pillow over her head "Will you please go see who is at the door?" Aggitated I got up out of bed, threw my pants and went to go see who was at the door. Upon opening the door there was this drunk man that lived down the street. " sorry to wake you Mister," he slurd "Can you give me a push?" "Hell no!" I angerily slammed the door in his face. I stomped back up to the bedroom. "Who was it?" My girlfriend asked as I was laying back down in the bed. "That stupid drunk from down the street." I said, " He wanted me to give him a push." " So why aren't you helping him?" My girlfriend asked "What?" "Why don't you help him. Remember that time when we were coming from my parents house during the rain storm? The car lost traction and ended up in a ditch. You had to go to a near by farm house and ask for help. What would you have done if the farmer would of slammed the door?" Guilt hit me. I got out of bed went to the front door asked if the drunk was still out side He said "Yeah I am over here." "where are you?" It was dark I could not see him " Over on the side of the house sitting on the swing set.
