Popular songstress and MTN ambassador, Chidinma Ekile has revealed that she was born blind. The petite singer took to her Instagram page to make the shocking announcement on Monday, November 10th, 2014. It should be recalled that Chidinma released a new song, “Martha” earlier in the day, and she posed with her mom on the album cover. Chidinma wrote, “The song, ‘Martha’ is dedicated to my mom, Mrs. Martha Ekile. I decided to show my fans a side to Chidinma; a side never revealed to so many,” She continued, “I was conceived and certified totally blind at birth. For 15 months, my mother held me in her hands and wept uncontrollably with my father calling on God to bless newly born Chidinma with sight…on the 16th day, I opened my eyes and they have been opened ever since…” This was her post:
