You just said my mind. Americans are the best when it comes to visa issuance. Once you are qualified, you will be issued with a visa. The fact the she is a residence permit holder does not guarantee her husband an automatic visa. There processes for immigrant visa. She should work on the reason for the rejection through a lawyer and see what can be done

Another thing, we don't know if she filed an Immigrant Visa for him or she requested a Visiting Visa. From what I read, I guess she must have filed an immigrant Visa which does not come very easy because she herself is presently holding a residence permit or green card. If she  is requesting visiting, this might be easier and the husband has to spend less than 6 months anytime the husband visit.

Thousands of people who have applied for a visa to the USA have been denied in the past.International stars from around the world have been denied visa's - both black and white people! There is ALWAYS a reason.

Is there something your husband is not telling you? Living in the USA from the age of 12 DOES NOT guarantee your husband an automatic visa.

As for racism, Nigerians are VERY TRIBALISTIC - which is even worse than beingg racist!

American Visa takes time, If she is already a already an American citizen, The process for the guy to get the Visa is not a day or a month process, The guy will have to pay through so many things. At least live separately for 6 months, From Experience i have a guy who married even a white American lady for the past 1 and half year, The guy have not being giving the Visa yet...

Have you try to find out their reason? or just because your a sprinter gold medalist winner and anybody that connected to you will just obtain express US visa? you just told us that they refused your hubby a visa but you fail to tell us their reason. you should know better that US have a very strong policy to give out visa.

You are a krazy man to sound that way, is American Visa Life to you?

It is obvious why he was denied a visa....She is a Permanent Resident and they just got married. Which means by default, the husband is an intending immigrate or that is how the interviewing officer will see him. The wait time to petition for a fiance visa is long and the husband have to wait in Nigeria until his fiance visa is approved, before he can join her in the US, and since she is a Permanent Resident, that is years.

Now, the embassy know that, most people want to take the short cut...She must have requested for a non-immigrate visa for her husband and that is a red flag before the embassy. If the embassy grant him a non-immigrate visa, when they get to the US, all Blessing need to do is apply for adjustment of status plus a fiance visa for the husband in the US, once she does that, the husband can legally stay and work in the US until his visa is adjudicated upon...which is years and this would have been the same amount of time he would have waited in Nigeria for his fiance visa to be approved.

So, the embassy knows this trick and once they determine that one has a tendency to immigrate, they will most likely have their non-immigration visa application denied; unless one can show a greater tie to Nigeria and something in Nigeria that will compel the person to return back....with her wife in the US, it is very difficult to show such a tie.
