A 29-year old man, Nifemi Ayedun, was brought before the Ikeja Senior Magistrate’s Court, Abule Egba, charged with assault.
Police prosecutor alleged that Nifemi assaulted Nkechi Augustine at 13, Kaka Street, Ayobo, Ipaja, Lagos, where she sells cooked food.
The complainant, Nkechi, told the court that Nifemi Ayedun always ate at her bukateria without paying.
On the day of the incident, she said, he ate a meal worth N150 and refused to pay, and when she demanded for her money, a scuffle ensued and in the process, the defendant stabbed her with a broken bottle.
