Daughter of Edo State billionaire and one of Nigeria's most flamboyant chiefs, Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, Omosede has won the House of Rep seat in Ovia federal constituency in Edo State.

The newbie in the world of politics beat the incumbent Rep, Engr Osahon, to clinch the seat.

The immediate past speaker of the State House of Assembly, Uyi Igbe  wasn't so lucky as he lost in his quest to represent his people in the Federal House of Representatives. to Engr Ogbeide Ihama.

There is a new trend though as it seems the ruling party in the State, APC, is loosing their grip as they lost most seats in both Edo South and the Ishan speaking region of the State to PDP. They only performed well in Edo North.
