Man Who Promised To Walk From Lagos To Abuja If Buhari Wins, Has Arrived Abuja

Suleiman Hashimu aka ‘The traveler" who promised to trek from Lagos to Abuja if Gen. Buhari wins the 2015 Presidential election, arrived Abuja this evening after trekking for many weeks. Pictured above is Suleiman wearing the red shirt and carrying a strap bag. He was given a rousing welcome by Abuja residents. See more photos below...





He began this journey on March 29, a day after the General was declared winner of the presidential poll which held March 28.

Katsina born Suleiman had vowed two years ago to embark on the journey if General Muhammad Buhari wins the presidential election and he kept to his words.

On arrival, he was welcomed into Abuja by a teeming crowd. While addressing press men, He described his experience on the road as adventurous and remarkable as he met a lot of people who have heard of him and showed him enormous hospitality.

He said he walked from 6am to 6pm everyday and sleeps in the nearest village he finds himself at dusk, after which he continues his journey at 6am the next morning.

He Has become Some Sort Of Celebrity after trekking a distance of about 750km from Lagos to Abuja and has met with the Emirs Of Bida, Suleja etc.

Anyways as a Journalist that likes details,i would like to know all the towns he walked through and how many hours it took him to walk from one town to the other so that i can calculate ..... he started at 6am and stopped at 6pm and the journey started on march 29th and ended today April 20th.

the guy reason it that( if you never hammer then go say you no sabi plan),,,,na he don plan big idea when don hammer Aso rock leaders head,,,,,,well the man tried,,,,,,,,this is to tell people that talent is not gotten through education and degree,,,each and everyone of us have a talent that we are afraid to exhibit because of fear of not succeeding or fear of what people will say,,,,but this guy did not let anything or anyone discourage him and look at him ,he got to his destination,,,,,,,,,especially in a country like nigeria where 80% of people dont appreciate anything.........

Real man, this is a good example of people who can die for their words, not just saying it can u fulfil it, I think the president elect has a lot to learn from this guy. Can you die for your words?

An old woman gave her life savings 1m for Buhari campaign, another man vowed to trek from Lagos to Abuja if Buhari wins and he did. This is wonderf ul and Buhari has no reason not to perfom and deliver good governance.
