It was a tragic situation at 16, Orisan Street, Ajangbadi in Ojo Local Government Area, Lagos State recently, when a middle aged man, Okechukwu Aghanama, stabbed his friend, Udoka, to death during a fight over a girlfriend.
P.M.NEWS gathered that Okechukwu, popularly known as Okey Boutique, who is now in the police net, was alleged to have used a kitchen knife to stab Udoka on the neck and he died instantly.
The cause of the fight, it was gathered, was a lady simple known as Nnenna, who was originally Udoka’s girlfriend, but later switched to Okechukwu, because of the little quarrel she had with Udoka.
Investigations revealed that the duo lived in the same house and were good friends until Nnenna switched to Okechukwu, leading to the incident.
They used to visit drinking joints like the popular Afromedia Hotel together, where they met the woman who turned them against one another.
It was learnt that the late Udoka was having an affair with Nnenna and that when they quarrelled, she turned to Okey, making Udoka to be shocked when he entered Okey’s apartment and saw the lady scantily dressed. He was said to have left the place immediately.
On his return, he reportedly came with a broken bottle, forced his way into Okey’s apartment and stabbed him, while Okechukwu took a knife and stabbed Udoka in retaliation.
However, before Udoka could be rushed to the hospital, he had died as it was later confirmed by the doctor on duty at the hospital.
All attempts made by the suspect to escape were frustrated by the landlord and his family, who quickly rushed to Ilembe Police Station and reported the matter. The accused and Nnenna were later arrested.
When P.M. NEWS visited the house where the incident happened, the tenants had deserted the place out of fear of arrest by the police. Only the landlord and his family were left.
The landlord, Alhaji W. O. Kazeem, confirmed the incident, which he said happened at about 11 a.m. on the fateful day.
“It is sad that a man could kill another man because of a woman,” he stated.
At the station, the DPO was not around to comment on the matter, but a source confirmed the incident, saying that the matter had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) Panti, Yaba, Lagos, for investigation.

tats true hun .. everybody is in the wroung here but i'v noticed tat nigerian men always belittle women and women accept this .. like this movie i saw the other day called AKPU - NKU it was funi at the beginnin but then got really disturbin .. after about 15 minuites i couldnt watch it .. u can watch it on youtube .. the comments have bn disabled
