40-Year-Old Man Allegedly Killed His Landlord’s Son With Occult Ring In Ibadan

Residents of Omilabu, Odinjo area of Ibadan, Oyo State have been thrown into a state of mourning after a 40-year-old man; Mumini Muritala was allegedly killed by his landlord’s son with a fetish ring during a misunderstanding.

Trouble started when Muritala, a father of five confronted his Landlord’s son identified as Yusuf for locking the door to the house too early. This was said to have led to a fight and in the cause of the fight, Yusuf allegedly slapped the deceased with an occult ring which led to his death.
Narrating the incident, widow of the deceased, Shakirat Muritala said her husband had a quarrel with the lanlord’s son, Yusuf Adegbayi, and his brother Habeeb because they locked the door to the house early.
Shakirat said, “When my husband and daughter came back home, Yusuf and Habeeb went inside their rooms, but my husband went to them to find out why they locked the door so quickly. This resulted in a heated argument and Yusuf slapped my husband, my husband wanted to retaliate, but the two boys pounced on him and beat him black and blue.”
She further revealed that Yusuf later came back and hit her husband with an occult ring.
“Suddenly, my husband turned around and fell on the ground,” Mumini’s wife said. “We rushed him to the hospital, but he later gave up,” she said.
It was learnt that the suspects have fled the area but their father, who is the landlord is currently cooling his heels in custody of the Idi Aro police station.
