The National and state Assembly Elections Petition Tribunal sitting in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital has cancelled the election of a Buruji Kashamu, a Nigerian senator wanted by the US for drug-related offenses. Justice Ebiowei Tobi led tribunal has ordered re-run in 110 polling units. The tribunal cancelled units in 8 out nine local government areas to invalidate the election of the People’s Democratic Party senator. A re-run of the election will take place in 90 days.

It seems it is the season for a change these days….. In an unrelated stunning news Edwin Clark, the former Federal Commissioner of Information, said that he is no longer a member of the People’s Democratic Party.
Good for the country. There are many of them, please fish them out, sweep them out of the system so Nigeria could be clean again. Go from state to state, obtain record of all the returnees who ventured into politics, many of them ran away from abroad because drug-related offenses. We don't need them in our government please - so Nigeria will start to heal.
