Can anybody imagine losing 22 yrs of their life..this is the consequences of committing crimes in a civilized society...We need to have such punitive consequences for law breakers in Nigeria..it will straighten people out

We are still waiting to hear how Gowon would explain the break up with Ms Okongwu that led to his son's 22 yrs in jail. Is he happy that his son is out and alive, or he still angry at Edith because his kinsmen made him chase her away?

If he was US citizen, he will not be deported, he will be treated like other citizens who did drugs. But if he did not do his citizenship before engaging in drug business, then he will sure be deported to Nigeria or given option to leave the country for another country.

So it took 22years for him to be granted pardon for his drug crimes? What a waste of life, he must have really suffered

Perhaps he was jailed for life, until president Obama came to his rescue, late. Doing drugs does not pay at all. Kashamu should go and serve his own term
