According to Vanguard, a person has been reported dead at the protests which went on today for the detention of Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, a member of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.
Movement was disrupted along the Onitsha Enugu expressway as all roads were blocked, with the markets in Onitsha shut down for the day, as the release of their Mr. Kanu was demanded alongside other Biafran activists.
The protest started out peacefully with simple chants and songs but degenerated around 2:30 pm when a protester was shot by policemen.

When peaceful protest is tamed or restricted by force by Government, they make violent protest inevitable. We warned Nigerian government that injustice overdue is a catalyst for violent break-up, the window of peace is gradually closing on Nigeria, and thereby making violent ARMED INSURGENCY INEVITABLE, AND NIGERIA IS SOLELY TO BE BLAMED. LEAVE BIAFRANS TO BE BIAFRANS, Question of nationality should not be by force,. We advised the evil Nigerian government to allow for regional autonomy under one Country, but those who felt they have power of "life and death" felt they must deny people the right to self-determination and self-governance. Then we asked for justice for all, but again, all we get is injustice. Freedom is not giving but fought with blood and sweat, so since the dark evil called Nigeria has decided to subject our people to slavery, we must fight and resist the great Satan by any means necessary.

ooh well well all begin to happen now make una dey waste una life
Can Nigeria afford an addition to boko haram? Protests are preferable to rockets and explosives but if the source of a protest is not addressed, it may get out of hand. The first round was a bloody civil war; let the second round be one of dialogue, compromise or give and take

Am still repeating it, a fly that refused to hear the advice of the elders goes to the grave with the corpse.
Biafra has come to stay ! It is the very quintessential soul of the black race ! Ndigbo is traditionally republican so the religious and ethnic minorities will be protected within it's glorious boundaries ! Hail Biafra the symbol of the rising sun ! A land where only your abilities will determine your estate ! Hail Biafra the last hope of the black race !
