That family should just say they want to stay in Australia Period .   
How many Igbo girls of age are forced to undergo FGM ??   is that a predominantly islamic community like Somali where such things are enforced ?? if  so ...Since when

I don't think anyone practices circumcision again in igbo land, this story was just cooked up to persuade the Australian authorities not to deport them

My lord,

Please forgive me and my family because we lied. Nigeria is the best place to live on earth. Our people are more social than any other country in the world. We are so friendly and accommodating. Unlike your country, we can borrow garri (cassava flakes) from our neighbours. However, the truth is that we are ashamed to go back home because we will be a nobody back home. The values and brand we have built over the years by staying abroad will come to nothing. My wife and i will join the unemployment market and our kids will be attending public schools that are not of your own quality. My lord, now that I told you the truth, kindly pity our conditions and grant us asylum to save us from this shame and brand devaluation.
