Anambra state governor, Willie Obiano has allegedly gifted the Catholic Archdiocese in his state the sum of N433 million. The sum was reportedly to aid “church management”. Although there has been no official verification from the Anambra state government, there is a picture of the Governor presenting a ceremonial cheque. It is unclear how such a princely donation to the church will help in the development of his state.

Thank goodness paying "INDULGENCES" to a church is a thing of the past. The money, if this article is true, can have gone to a much better cause. Our hospitals lack the basic amenities.
Or is the money a payment , if true, a thank you GIFT for their "support" during the last election?

That's a good donation to the people of God and God will bless his government
what an ignorant comment..this is why there is no economic development in nigeria....this money could help build roads,repair and build new schools, provide basic health and you talking about donation to a church...for what..These are resources to help move this state forward..the citizens of anambra state should outraged and this governor should be investigated...These churches already fleeced people out of their money on sundays they don't need any help from the government..
