What a country of lawlessness. Orubebe was said to have conducted a fairer election in Nigeria, what shall we call this INEC bait and switch election result? What does the constitution say of previous election result in a case of demise of candidate? It is unheard of to inherit votes from past election result. Does all the votes transferred to this new candidate indicate party-line voting/support?  If so, does the constitution provide for inheritance of such votes by any candidate of the party's choice? Nigeria/APC should stop arbitrary use of power in a supposedly democratic society - please remember, the country voted for change, not strangulation and infringement of the people's right to make their choices of representation.

@paulohking: ask them again, why is this country doing things the wrong way? Well, the deputy governor candidate is probably silenced right now, his hands are tied, and we still call the country a democratic society. There is no doubt our founding father have such provisions of replacement in the constitution, but corrupt leadership would not allow the people to apply what is written the constitution.
