You put all your time into something that's not going to change anything for Nigeria which is attacking everyone's opinions. If you truly love your country that you're defending. Why don't you start by voicing your opinion with the government about the issues Nigeria has been facing instead of using America as a cause for Nigeria's problem. Nigeria is how old? and just now you want to get upset because we are placed on a terror list, please realize there are more important things than being on a list.

-Nigeria needs work, start with that.

-Stop all the kidnapping going on in your country

-Try to find ways to lessen the amount of 419 going on so that each time you go on google and type"Nigeria", 419 and scam wouldn't show up.

-Nigeria has got the "sweet oil" like you said, find ways that they can be smart with it and not let people use them for it.

-There are more issues with Nigeria that need urgent attention than what you are arguing ab0ut here, try and solve what is going on internally before heading outside, and maybe when the outsiders starts to see our improvement they will start to back off us and won't manipulate us anymore.

I am very blessed that you started a topic with my name on it.  To God be all the glory.

Naijapal is a beautiful place where people can express their opinions and others can comment on their opinions if they disagree.  That does not mean that one is attacking other people's opinion.

I welcome being placed on the terrorist list as a badge of honour.   I have 15 more additional allies and I know that there will be more allies added to the list.  Nigeria is in league with North Korea and North Korea has over 200 million soldiers.  Nigeria has been put in the same league with Osama Bin Laden and Al Qaeda because one Nigerian young man that was not trained in Nigeria became radicalized in Britain and Yemen and over 150 million people are being condemned as terrorists, and the giant of Africa is being condemned.

I welcome that label as a Nigerian.  My new best friend is now Osama Bin Laden, Al Qaeda, Cuba, Iran, Sudan, Syria, Afghanistan, Algeria, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Somalia and Yemen.

I will rather be in league with these nations if this is how they became known as terrorists.

There is unemployment worldwide - that does not make those country terrorists.

There are more kidnappings in America than there are kidnappings in Nigeria.

One man alone called Madoff stole more from Americans than all Nigerian corrupt leaders and 419 fraudsters combined.

Nigeria needs better leaders for sure who will have vision on how to develop Nigeria better.  Despite some of our short falls, it still does not make us a terrorist nation.

I WEAR MY TERRORIST BADGE WITH HONOUR!

Thank you so much for honouring me by starting a topic in my name.

Hip Hip Hurrah!

Yes because you need someone to teach you how to use your brains wisely. I hope and wish you never have to run for presidency in Nigeria because we will be going down the drain!

I do not see anything wrong with Omatu standing up as a patriot to defend her motherland in a situation where a country of  140 million people is being demonized   demonized and  dragged on the terror watch list because of the terrible  hijacking of a  problem child going through some difficult phase of his life.by some opportunistic wolves trying to score a political point .

When one considers the wider implications of this listing which is still too early to determine and which is rightly another way of the US government starting its destabilization program perhaps dissolution of NIgerian as a viable entity every sensisble Nigerian citizen should resent and vehemently oppose it as Omatu is doing .  She is actually doing a good job to create awareness on the nature and implications of the development. I will definitely tender my vote for such a patriot when the time comes up.

Its true Nigeria has its own inherent problems as highlighted by you earlier  such as 419, kidnapping ,terrorism and corruption .  If indeed you are  a Nigerian yourself as you claimed then indeed you are  a great 419er and just as corrupt as any other other stupid Nigerian  politician and embezzler. Besides being a terrorist to watch with every step you take . Not only that You and every member of your family and  spouse or patner and unborn kids are bloody terrorists deserving no  decent place in human civilized society as no one can be able to predict exactly what you or they can do to human lives  .   Now howz that sound ??  Of course its a such and acrid pill  to swallow and pardon my bluntness but thats exactly how it sounds to the innocent Nigerian being tagged a terrorist .

While its eazy to see why some of us care less how Nigerians are classified because we have managed to secure other country citizenship and carrying their flags we need to think of other Nigerians who are not so privileged. Even more so to consider the plight of other Nigerians in the diaspora and how the terrorist tag will further their interest

To tag the whole country of 140 million people a terrorist including toddlers who wont lift a finger against a fly is considered   erroneous  and i believe this is the point that Omatu is trying to make as did the Vice president of Nigeria Goodluck Jonathan highlighting the efforts the Nigerian government has been making to combat terrorism and also our peace efforts as a nation to ensure peace and stability while addressing the visiting American Diplomat for Homeland security . as its one reason  why America needs  Nigeria as a friend and ally thus needing care how they categorize us on the terrorism front inspite of our own complex  endemic problems  most of which are inherited from our colonial masters and which has severely hampered growth in the midst of plenty.

I dont really see anything wrong in someone standing up for his or her own country .  If Americans can stand up for themselves why cant NIgerians stand up for themselves ?   It appears the American government is capitalizing on the prevalent ignorance of the Nigerian populace to start  disintegration process through their action. We also know that they are very good at this kind of divide and rule tactics .

He is only only a bastard who uses the left hand to point out his Ancestors' fathers house to a curious stranger  . If you are true authentic  and proud Nigerian, there is no need to scorn or ridicule Nigeria thinking that you are better than the  average Nigerians.

As you rightly mentioned in the opening  i would rather the exchange here focuses on the logistics of making Nigeria a better place to be proud in view of the problems you earlier enumerated instead of condescending to the name callings often characterising similar exchanges - a share waste of time.
