The mother of Yunusa Dahiru also known as “Yellow” who allegedly abducted 14 year-old Miss Ese Oruru from Bayelsa has opened up on the affair between her son and Ese.

The 44-year-old woman who identified as Maimuna, expressed shock over the kind of attention the Yunusa/Ese affair was getting, Vanguard reports.
“All of a sudden, my house has become a Mecca of sorts, and while I continue to wonder the intrusion into our private lives, the more I am confused about the unnecessary spotlight,” she said.
According to her, the Dahiru family and Ese Oruru’s family were no stranger to each other.
She explained that her son was with the Oruru family for 10 years and when they heard about his love relationship with Ese, her husband handled the situation.
“We may be poor and uneducated, but the fact remains that we run our lives based on the dictates of our religion, and we don’t need anyone to lecture us on the illegality of Yunusa’s action,” she stated.
Maimuna was optimistic that Yunusa would overcome this difficult phase of his life, saying it was a fulfillment of destiny.
She prayed that Allah see him through the trial.
