An unnamed man on Saturday allegedly killed his friend, Goody Ndidi Osafiele in Idumu-Ille Quarters, Umunede, Ika North-East Local Government Area of Delta State, over a debt of N800.
DAILY POST gathered that the victim had on the said day gone to his friend to demand for the payment of N800 the suspect owed him.
Trouble, however started after the suspect refused to pay his friend. The duo consequently engaged in hot exchange of words that led into a fight.
The suspect reportedly hit Osafiele with an object and he died on the spot.
Confirming the incident, the state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mrs. Celestina Kalu, told DAILY POST that the suspect had been apprehended.
According to the PPRO, ”the suspect is currently helping the police in their investigation.
