Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, led by Ayuba Wabba, has suspended the ongoing nationwide strike to force the Federal Government to reverse the N145 per litre pump price of petrol. They have resolved to resume negotiation with the government. This came as Joe Ajaero led faction, weekend assured that labour movement would engage the federal government to ensure there was a time frame for ending importation of refined petroleum products into the country.

The strike was not necessary in the first place since FG was ready to negotiate by setting up committee to analyse the situation to see how to improve things.

I think NLC should negotiate for the payment of all BACK LOAD SALARY within 6 months since FG claimed that the subsidy removal will give them room to pay salaries.
Also, negotiate for minimum wage increase after 6 months of XXX amount so that people can be able to meet up with the inflation rate with their earning.
This 2 things should be the priority of the NLC. At least FG need btw 3-6 months for stability for any increase in minimum wage.

Nigerian wealth like  is in the hands of few people. We need to support everything that will take it from their hand and distribute it across every Nigerian. SUBSIDY is one of the weapon to rip off Nigerian wealth by some people.
It is high time to stop people from using every medium to suffer us.
