All People Grand Alliance Party gubernatorial candidate and incumbent governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi has been declared the winner of the governorship elections in Anambra state.
Obi won by a total of 97843 votes, followed closely by Action Congress's candidate, Chris Ngige with 60240 votes while PDP party flag bearer, Chukwuma Soludo came third with 59365 votes respectively.
Obi was declared winner of the election by the resident electoral commissioner of the state.

Thats all we prayed for. God has done it again. mr peter, the man of the people, pple's choice. I must commend the commissioner of police in anambra for the tight security they provided 2 make sure there is no form of voilence during the election. Also the INEC for there good conduct in the election. I must confess that this is unimaginable the first time in Anambra State an election was free and fair, Definetely it was God's handwork. Obi,the God sent,i congratulate u and your family.The Nigeria government,u did very well,for the first time in the history of this country to conduct free and fair election,i say keep it up,u are beginning to give us hope we the citizen of this country.Obi may God grant more wisdom to lead Anambra to a greater height /in Jesus name Amen

if the pdp-controlled national assembly/federal government pass the electoral bill into law, i can bet you that in 2011 there will bo no pdp control in nigeria. it is like pdp is an assemblage of the most daring election rigeers. Let inec and police do their work well. ananbra elections succeeded because all eyes were on pdp rigging machinery.
