Lady Cries Out After Her Family Members Are Assaulted & Detained By Police In Warri

A Nigerian Lady, Twitter user @KenkwoLizzy, cried out via her account today, alleging that her family members were beaten up and are currently being detained by the police in connection with officials from the Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC).

She claims they were assaulted and even tear-gassed for trying to reconnect a wire that was unjustly cut by BEDC officials, Help is currently needed to free her family members who are currently locked up at the Enerhen police station in Warri, Delta state. See more of her tweets after the cut...

well,I read this post somewhere earlier today, I got a piece of advise for the young lady,I believe from your comment,ur parent have grown up kids,I'm sorry ur parent were molested, but I needed to point somethings out which re fault from u.
Nepa gave u guy Estimated bill but u never make move to buy or collect a prepaid meter, estimated bill is generated by there computer and any amount is been generated which u gat no choice as they got no way to read ur consumption.

Secondly, u paid 7k from every 30k they brought which means u ve arrears of 23k anytime such bills comes every month.
Nepa are coming out now not becos of current charges but for Arrears, I had issue with them too but they made me know that if I don't ve arrears ,they won't ve issue with me .
Also nepa don't tolerate u connecting your power to their grid illegally,u shld ve called them to come do it and not using just anyone. So if you sue them base on these,they will win because u re more at fault.

This is where u can win them,for molesting your helpless parent in a matter that could ve been resolved amicably. I wouldn't want you to sue them on the base of disconnecting you off their grid because u accepted estimated bills.

Its a shame they treated ur parent that way but trust me they can still pay for molestation,remember they re private entity now.so its easy to sue them.

She is more at fault o. U don't  connect ur light back illegally. Though police wit their overzealousness will always molest which am not in support of them molesting ur family.

Even if she's at fault,  98 percent of The Nigerian police are useless, senseless and irresponsible.
