Abdullahi Imman, a 53-year-old married father of seven, has been arrested by the Niger State Police Command for the alleged s3xual exploitation of nine children aged 6-11 in Minna.
Spokesperson of the command, SP Wasiu Abiodun, who disclosed this in a statement on Thursday, May 2, 2024, said the suspect confessed that he usually lured the children, comprising eight girls and a boy, to his shop with biscuits and other sweets.
“On 27/4/2024 at about 1940hrs, a complaint was received from Tayi village area of Minna at GRA Div that one Abdullahi Imman a.k.a Abba 53yrs of Tayi village had been engaging in s3xual exploitation with some children within the Community at his provisions shop,” the statement read.

"He confirmed that he is married and he has seven children, but he just found himself in this unfortunate act.
“The suspect has been transferred to SCID Minna for further investigation and diligent prosecution, while the children were being taken to hospital for a medical examination.”
