The former Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro on Monday returned an additional sum of N34 million to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC bringing his total returned amount to N134m.

Obanikoro who was accused of receiving N4.7bn from the former National Security Adviser Col. Sambo Dasuki appealed to the anti-graft agency to allow him return the remaining N450m in 2017.

According to a source in the commission, “Obanikoro came on Monday and presented a draft of about N30m. Initially we did not want to collect it because it is small compared to what he is supposed to have given us. However, the legal department advised us to collect it”

“About N450m is remaining and Obanikoro has promised to pay the rest in 2017. He will also be reporting at our office every two weeks,” the source added.

For me it's good but I'm still opposed to the plea bargain.
Steal #1000 an you go to jail an pay the full penalty, but steal #1.5 trillion and you apply for plea bargain, you return more than half the money and you go scot free. This isn't justice. This is oppression.

And the hero man GEJ insisted Dasuki had not stole a dime. People are blindfolded with the Jonathan cheap trick by handing over office to PMB but in the right sense, GEJ is more than an evil who sees stealing as not corruption.
