Nigerians have taken to Twitter to slam NAFDAC for the ban placed on Emzor pharmaceuticals and two other pharmaceutical companies.
The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, announced that a ban has been placed on Emzor pharmaceuticals Industry Limited, Peace Standard Pharmaceutical Limited, and Bioraj Pharmaceutical Limited. But Nigerians do not agree with their methods and see the ban as using a sledgehammer to kill a fly.
However, a minority are in support of NAFDAC. They say they believe the codeine epidemic calls for strict measures like the one NAFDAC is taking.

Read the opinions of Nigerian on Twitter below.

those companies should remain shut until proper investigation is done into what they are actually producing.
They could have been producing other illicit or sub-standard  drugs

I DON'T THINK WHAT THE PRODUCE IS DANGEROUS TO HEALTH, ONLY THAT PEOPLE JUST ABUSE THEM. IT IS GOVERNMENT OBLIGATION TO STOP THE ABUSE. NOT TO CLOSE THE WHOLE COMPANY.

If not for the abuse which should be tackled, all those syrup are used for treating an ailment or 2. Clamping those companies isn't the best way to go about this

number one advice for Nigerians....
There is no cure for cough.  It is pure waste of money to buy cough syrup.
however, if your cough is infected or secretions yellowish green, you can be prescribed antibiotics to clear the infection.
drinking lots of fluid or licking some honey helps a lot with your cough reduction.
