Uruguay will be looking to add another three points to their World Cup campaign with a victory over Saudi Arabia, who lost 5-0 to host nation Russia
Uruguay will face Saudi Arabia on Wednesday at the Rostov Arena to contest the third fixture of Group A, and La Celeste will be looking to capitalise on their win against Egypt with another three points.
The South American side – featuring an array of talent in Edinson Cavani and Luis Suarez – were far from their best in their opening fixture but a victory against Saudi Arabia will massively help their chances of progressing through to the last 16 ahead of Egypt.
Saudi Arabia got their World Cup tournament started in the worst possible way after suffering a 5-0 defeat at the hands of host nation Russia, sinking them to bottom in their group. They would need to win both of their remaining games against Egypt and Uruguay – a tough feat – if they want any chance of making it out of their group.
