The Federal High Court in Kano has barred the Daily Nigerian Newspaper and its editor Jafaar Jafaar from publishing any more videos of the Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje. The newspaper had published two videos allegedly showing the governor receiving bribes from unknown contractors. Jafaar had appeared before the Kano State House of Assembly and promised that he wouldn’t release any more videos until an investigation against the governor is complete. Although a third video has been released since then, the editor has said it didn’t come from him or the Daily Nigerian. The Cable has reported that the High Court has issued an interim injunction ordering both Jafaar and his paper to stop releasing the videos which are said to number 13.
