Faces Of 9 Deadly Abuja-Kaduna Highway Kidnappers Arrested By Police

Gallant security operatives have apprehended nine notorious highway kidnappers along Abuja-Kaduna expressway. Police on Monday said operatives attached to Operation Puff Adder have arrested nine Abuja-Kaduna highway kidnap suspects on Saturday.
 
The police said they recovered two AK47 rifles, four AK47 magazines, 54 rounds of live ammunition, five dane guns and 200 stolen cows.
 
They were arrested at Kudaru Forest in Lere LGA of Kaduna State following credible intelligence and support from the locals in the community.
 


The kidnap suspects are: Ayuba lawal, Saidu Bello, Abdullahi Bello, Adamu Lawal, and Umar Sani, all males and indigenes of Dan Musa LGA of Katsina State.
 
Other suspects, Muhammed Sani, Jibrin Shehu, Usman Sani, Musa Garba, all males, were similarly arrested at Akilbu forest around Chikwale in Kachia LGA of Kaduna State.
 
A statement by Frank Mba, the police spokesman, said all the suspects made useful statement to the police on their involvement in a series of kidnap cases on the Abuja-Kaduna expressway.
 
Meanwhile, the inspector-general of police, Mohammed Adamu, has commended people for their cooperation and support to the police, assuring that with the consistent support by the public the war against kidnapping and other heinous crimes in the country will certainly be won in no distant time.

Na today. What happens next? They are the untouchables. Next week you may see these faces again along the same Kaduna-Abuja road, doing what they know how to do best. Apart from the guns I see in the hands of Security Agents, I have never touched a gun all my life but these nonentities have access to sophisticated weapons. Where do they get them and who teaches them how to use arms? We are in a big mess!
