Senegal
The Lions of Teranga claimed their sixth straight win with a 1-0 friendly win over Nigeria in their last match. Everton’s Idrissa Gueye scored the winner for Aliou Cisse’s men but there are plenty of other star players in their ranks.

Sadio Mane is suspended but Senegal also have the likes of Kalidou Koulibaly, Cheikhou Kouyate and Keita Balde in their squad. It is easy to see why they have been successful in recent years under former Lions of Teranga captain Cisse.

Senegal are paying 1.36 for the win due to their remarkable recent form with the -1 handicap market offering greater returns at 2.25.

Tanzania
Emmanuel Amunike’s Taifa Stars are back in the Africa Cup of Nations 39 years after their only previous appearance. It would be unreasonable to expect wonders from the minnows against Africa’s best team.

Tanzania drew 1-1 to Zimbabwe in a recent friendly, showing that they are some way off Senegal’s pace. The Taifa Stars have lost seven of their last 12 internationals.

There are few household names in the Tanzania squad but they do have experienced internationals such as Erasto Nyoni, Kelvin Yondani and Mbwana Samatta.

Standing up to star-studded Senegal is a huge challenge for Tanzania and they are paying big money at 11.00 for a win and 4.20 for a draw.

Head To Head
Senegal and Tanzania met twice during the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with the Lions of Teranga winning 4-0 at home and drawing 1-1 away. The current golden generation of Senegal players should be even more difficult to beat than the side which ran out back then.
