ANGOLA

Angola thought they had won their contest with Mauritania but suffered late heartache as they had a 90th- minute goal disallowed for offside as they had to settle for a draw in their Group E clash at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
With time almost due to expire, Geraldo thought he had won the game for his side only for the Angolans to be denied by the assistant referee who correctly raised his flag to ensure the game ended level.
Angola will feel they did enough to beat Mauritania but failed to take their chances and now face a tough task to qualify with Mali with changes potentially coming up front after only managing one goal from their two games so far.
MALI

Mali moved a step closer to confirming their spot in the last 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations as they earned a point against Tunisia but will be left somewhat disappointed that their performance did not yield all three.
In an important game in Group E, the Malians were the better side for large spells but failed to convert their play into quality chances in front of goal and whilst they took the lead in the 60th minute through Diadie Samassekou, Tunisia managed to level ten minutes later.
That draw left Mali at the top of the group on four points and depending on how results go elsewhere, they may already have enough to qualify but will they will once again field a strong line-up here.

THE PREDICTION
Mali look set to progress to the last 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations but will want to avoid any unnecessary panic when facing Angola. With four points to their name, a win would see Mali advance as Group E winners whilst a draw would also see them through. However, Angola still have ambitions of their own of qualifying and need a positive result to give them a chance here. After their disappointing draw with Mauritania, it might be difficult for them to respond and Mali’s quality should tell to earn them the victory that would see them win the group.
