Van Vilker, the Ghanaian actor who is a force to reckon with in Nollywood today also shares in the nasty act as he allegedly abandoned the job he was fully paid for and went to Ghana without informing the producer or director. The said movie was said to have been postponed due to his attitude causing the producer to be paying extra money on accommodation and welfare.
Just last week, Ini Edo, a supposed to be responsible actress by the virtue of her status as a Glo Brand Ambassador and role model to the emerging generation in Nollywood, absconded from a movie set without concluding the project which was said to have been paid 100% before she embarked on it. If you recall, two years ago, Ini Edo was placed on suspension by the Actors Guild of Nigeria for her indecent dress sense and attitude towards work.
We gathered that the producer and director of the movie, Mr. Iyke Odife are on the trail of the versatile actress whose marriage to Philip is yet to produce any issue.
“The cast and crew are stranded. All effort to reach Ini on her mobile phone was aborted as she didn’t pick her calls. Mr. Odife sensing that other actors like Nonso Diobi, Chika Ike, Emmanuella Njubigbo and others who are playing major roles in the movie are not happy with the situation of things, he pleaded and seek their indulgence for postponement.” A source who was in the location hinted us.
Meanwhile, going by what we gathered, the said director, Odife has hinted the Police on the issue and he was said to have also asked his lawyer to sue the sultry actress, Ini Edo. “This unconcerned attitude of these so called stars in Nollywood is something we all worry about. This is an industry that has made all of them and this same industry has attracted a lot of attention, therefore discipline and dedication to work must be ensured” one of the stakeholders in the industry informed us.
In a fact-finding mission, Mr. Iyke Odife was contacted on his phone but the number was permanently switched off.
