Nigeria's VAT Increases From 5% to 7%

The federal executive council (FEC) has approved an increase in value added tax (VAT) rate from 5% to 7%. Zainab Ahmed, minister of finance, budget and national planning, disclosed this to state house correspondents at the end of the meeting on Wednesday.

This is a broad day light robbery. How can you increase vat from 5% to 7% when so many companies are yet to pay the 5% ? Any way, I dont blame them. After all when the head has a problem what will happen to the body?

Please Ms Zainab. His 2% increase isn't acceptable by me or Nigerians. If you are looking for revenue drive increasing tax ain't the right thing.
Create an enabling environment for business to thrive and revenue will definitely increase.

They were sleeping when they voted buhari. These people have done everything bad that pdp never thought of doing to Nigeria. Hope the predictions of many comes to pass,APC should be flushed into the public toilet.
