BECAUSE SOME FAMILIES ALWAYS BACK UP THEIR CHILD WHICH I THINK IS NOT FAIR SOMETIMES..

Well,well,well,from what I've been seeing, in most cases they are backing up their child,even if they know that their offspring is the guilty one! But,still,there are ppl who can remain objective!

Unfortunately it happens, but, thanks God,I've seen some really cool mothers-in-law,who when their boy screws it up,that guy sees the trouble big time!

I think that couples should endeavour to resolve issues between themselves, becos most 3rd parties would have an interest. Yea, it is either he or she is family or a friend and most certainly be inclined to one of the parties involved. If you must involved a 3rd party, let it be your Pastor or Imam or maybe a marriage counselor................

sometimes, some parents ignite the problem flames and make it high in the name of protecting their own, they forget so quick that, the person they're trying to protect is no more that kid they knew couple of years back, that he/she is grown now and need to make his/her own family as well.
I think parents should play fair in hearing or coming into their child's relationships, no matter what it is.

In The first place:I thought the married couples were matured enough to settle their differences rather than washing their dirty linens outside. PARENTS are not suppose to interfere in relationship cos it sometimes worsens the situation of things....

I agree with u DP. cuz even @ the end of the day when the couples forgives themselves, the 3rd party will remember and will continue to act accordingly. A 3rd party with no links to either couples can b more objective.
As far as I can remember, none of my parents family ever got involved in their problems cuz my dad stated that as a rule from the beginning, I plan on having the same agreement with my future hubby
