The police in Imo state have arrested a housewife, Mrs. Ada Amuzie, for killing a commercial s.e.x worker, identified simply as Hapiness.
The police said Amuzie had accused Happiness of dating her husband, Ejike Lambert Amuzie.
It was gathered that Happiness, in order to get even with Amuzie went to her house at Imika Obiti in Ohaji Egbema local government area of Imo state armed with a knife.
However Happiness was unlucky as Ada Amuzie over powered and stabbed her with the knife.
Police Public Relations Officer, Orlando Ikeokwu, in a statement said, “On 28/3/2020 at about 11:45 pm, in Imika Obiti in Ohaji Egbema local government area, operatives of the Divisional Police headquarters Ohaji, acting on a report arrested one Ada Amuzie, 26 years old, for the murder of one Happiness, a commercial s.e.x worker.

“Preliminary investigation revealed that the said Ada Amuzie had accused Happiness of dating her husband(Ejike Lambert). On that faithful day she went and engaged Ada Amuzie in a fight in her matrimonial home, she took along a knife, and during the fight, the suspect overpowered her (Happiness), collected the knife and stabbed her below her Bosom , thus leading to her death.”
Ikeokwu said that the corpse has been deposited in a morgue, while the suspect was arrested and would be charged to court accordingly.
In a related development, Ikeokwu said that on the 28/3/2020 operatives of the Divisional Police headquarters in Okigwe, acting on a report arrested one Chinelo Joseph for the murder of one Okenna Ekwebelem.
Ikeokwu said that both of them had been in a relationship for sometime, and on this day Chinelo Joseph visited the deceased and after spending time with him, she decided to leave.
Ikeokwu added that the deceased refused and Chinelo insisted on leaving, and as soon as she left, the late Okenna ran and blocked her and directed her to go back to his house.
The police spokesman said that the girl refused and this led to altercation and in response he began to beat her.
In retaliation, the girl was said to have picked up a piece of iron and hit him on the chest and he fell down and died instantly.
Ikeokwu said the case is being investigated and the suspect will be prosecuted as soon as investigations were concluded.
