Jack Ma, founder of Ali Baba Group, has announced the donation of 500 ventilators 200,000 suits and face masks, 2,000 thermometers, 1m swabs and extraction kits and 500,000 gloves, to Nigeria, and 53 other African countries.
The donation was made by Jack Ma’s Ali Baba Foundation to African Union Member States.
Ma, who disclosed this on his verified Twitter handle, said that the donation will be the second batch to Africa and is to be distributed by Ethiopian Airlines.
Ethiopian Airlines delivered Nigeria’s share of the first batch of medical supplies donated by Ma including 20,000 laboratory diagnostic test kits, 100,000 medical masks, 1000 protective suits and face shields at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
